Maquette

I've never made a maquette before but in the end, it was very useful to me. I find it very hard working 3-dimensional however, when you sculpt the character you designed out of clay, it is easier to imagine how they would look and move around if they were real. Lighting the maquettes make the character look more 3-dimensional as shading gives off form and creates more drama.

I really loved working on character design. Coming up with something different than an original version really makes it your own. I experimented with different shapes and cartoony figures. Expirementation gives you many options and opens your mind to various ideas. I also experimented with different indian outfits to figure out which would fit best in order to still continue to give off the impression that the story is a spoof on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I found that the bottom two on the left seemed to be the most fun and work the best.
